Cincinnati Crane & Hoist offers a full line of JIB Cranes from Abell-Howe, Gorbel and Gantrex to custom built Jib cranes to meet your exact specifications.
A jib crane is a type of crane where a horizontal member ( jib or boom ) supports a movable hoist that is fixed to a wall or to a floor-mounted pillar. Jib cranes are used in all kinds of industrial environments. The jib may swing through an arc to give additional lateral movement, or be fixed. Similar cranes, often known simply as hoists, can be fitted on the top floor of warehouse buildings to enable goods to be lifted to all floors of the warehouse.
These cranes are ideal for; underneath large bridge cranes, in open areas to serve several work stations, in outdoor applications such as loading docks, or in machining and assembly operations where they can be overlapped with other jib cranes to provide staged coverage.
Floor supported, top stabilized, and capable of 360-degree rotation via a top and bottom bearing assembly. MT Series Cranes are available in two styles:
Provide hoist coverage and 200-degree rotation for individual use in bays, along walls, columns of plants, or as a supplement to an overhead crane or monorail system. This Jib crane has the advantage of providing maximum lift for the hoist, since it can be installed very close to the underside of the lowest ceiling obstruction. It is composed of a vertical mast mounted to 2 brackets on a wall or vertical building beam with a boom that cantilevers out, perpendicular from the wall at the top.
